The ESEE Knives Laser Strike Survival Knife Fixed 5" Blade is the perfect outdoor/surival tool and has a fire steel and tinder tabs in Micarta Handles, Kydex Sheath.

The Laser Strike is an improved ESEE fixed blade knife with a spear point blade shape and a more ergonomic handle. This model does away with the striking pommel on the butt of the knife in lieu of a more comfortable grip. Jimping on the back spine of the knife is also improved on this knife, really locking your thumb in place. If you have experience with any of the regular ESEE knives, you will surely enjoy the Laser Strike.

Great Customer Service!

10 out of 10! I highly recommend them, especially if you aren't 100% what you want or need, they will help guide you in the right direction!

O ordered and esee knife and they emailed me to confirm that a different color blade because the one ordered was backordered so it would take longer, which I was ok with the change. Good service and got what I ordered

I was looking for a good work horse knife and this one passed the test ... February 27, 2016

I was looking for a good work horse knife and this one passed the test easily. It's not exactly a pocket knife but is exactly what i needed. The blade is nice and sharp from the box but you can get it razor sharp with minimal work. The finish on the blade has held up well so far and the handle is pretty damn durable too although it does hold onto dirt easily. The added benefit of the fire starter and tinder is a plus...its a small ferro rod with magnesium and 2 tinder wicks...works fine in a pinch if you know what you're doing. The only thing I'm thinking of changing is the sheath...it holds the knife securely and there is even an adjustment screw for retention....with that said...its just a bit too wide and stiff. I feel a leather sheath would be a better fit. Over all....damn fine knife for the price.

Perfect Survival/Camp Knife.

I bought this knife as an all around carry for camping and outdoors utility.
It is the perfect knife for everyday camp needs where a big knife is not needed.
It's hard to fine a spear point blade these days and I think that the spear point is the most useful blade shape if you only want to carry one knife while camping.
It is very well made with high quality carbon steel and has a comfortable and durable handle.
I normally do not care for a Kydex Sheath, but this one is good.
I made a leather loop for the belt attachment because I don't like a hard clip on a rough service sheath.
I highly recommend this knife as the perfect small/medium survival knife that will always be with you

Top quality knife. Best for the price as well.

There are a lot of quality knives on the market using this formula of carbon steel and powder coating, but having owned them all I think ESEE is in the lead. The problem with all of the others is that the coating gives out very quickly but with this knife and my Junglas I have yet to see so much as a scratch in it.

This LSP is my current bushcraft knife and after using and abusing it I can say I'm not even tempted to buy another. I just can't see this breaking. I swapped the micarta for g10 grips that still had the devot for fire starting because the micarta gets dirty so easily. I think it's a good choice, but you can also make a pretty decent handle out of paracord and leather strap by going through the gap in the middle. Of the three choices I think the g10 is the best and it allows a little customization considering this model only comes in black.
The choil at the front is one of the best and most secure on any knife I own and can accommodate gloves. Really I can't say enough good things about this knife and at the price Amazon is asking I recommend you buy it up while it is still low.
