One of my favorite pieces of backpacking gear

This pack is perfect! It's a culmination of small features that all add up to make this pack a big contender. The mesh backing allows for sweat to quickly dry, the pockets on the side open up for easy access to water bottles and they're deep enough so things won't fall out, the mesh pocket on the back holds quite a bit, the lid on top can easily be removed, etc. I've taken this pack on many trips and been rather rough with it, yet it's still in great condition. The pack is very lightweight and simple in design. It's light enough for a weekend get away and has enough volume for even longer backpacking trips. I've come across many Appalachian Trail thru hikers that also use this pack.

Things to consider: This is a pack meant for ultra-light backpacking and it reflects that in it's utility; the straps don't offer much padding so carrying over 25lbs might be a bit uncomfortable with this pack. The inside of the pack is pretty barren and you will need stuff sacks to organize your gear inside of it, although this is what I prefer.
